What Types of Scaffolding Structures Used in Commercial Areas?

Single Scaffolding: This type of scaffolding is mainly used for bricklaying works. With a single framework of regular ledgers, this structure offers support to the bricklayers.

Double Scaffolding: It offers better support than single scaffolds because of its two rows of standards. Ledgers separate these two rows. This is more robust than the previous one.

Steel Scaffolding: This structure looks like double scaffolding or mason’s scaffolding. However, instead of bamboo or timber, you can see the use of steel in this structure. It is stronger and safer than the previous types.

Cantilever Scaffolding: This type is also known as needle scaffolding. It contains standards that get support from the succession of needles that are taken through several holes in the wall of the structure. This is used in sites where the firm ground is not available to fix the structure.

Suspended Scaffolding: Scaffolds hanging with ropes or chains from the roof are known as suspended scaffolding. This structure has a working platform suspended from parapet walls. The chain or rope can be used to maintain the height of the scaffold. This is used for painting, window cleaning and maintenance jobs.

Trestle Scaffolding: Two movable ladders are used to provide support to a working platform. This can be shifted without any hassle. You can use them for painting works or minimal property repair jobs.
